In 2022, Black Isle Cares worked with Age Scotland and Avoch Primary School on the "Stories from the Black Isle" project, in which children and senior citizens in the community got to know each other through letters and interviews, with a focus on finding intergenerational connections, tackling loneliness and recording stories.
Using the interview footage and wonderful artwork created by the Avoch pupils, a film was created to showcase some of these stories:
On the 11th of May, the film premiered at an event hosted by Avoch Primary School, in which the people who participated in the project were invited to the school for tea, snacks and a chat and were shown the film. The event was great fun and enjoyed by all.
